CortexLit

CortexLit is a third-party fund focused on high-value commercial claims in New York and selected US venues.

Our investment thesis

CortexLit is focused on breach of contract disputes, partnership and shareholder disputes, commercial disputes, and enforcement proceedings, including matters connected to valuable business assets, proprietary rights, and high-stakes commercial misconduct.

We provide non-recourse litigation funding for businesses, claimholders, insolvency representatives, and law firms pursuing substantial commercial disputes. Our assessment centers on legal strength, case economics, counsel quality, and enforceability before capital is committed.

CortexLit evaluates whether monetary damages are at stake, whether the claim has strong merits and a tested legal theory, whether counsel has the experience and strategy to run the case well, and whether the defendant or respondent is truly able to satisfy a settlement, award, or judgment.
